Home is where the heart is

leeleerhoades:

These are my personal thoughts which I discuss with very few people. As I have gotten older I have become bitter about school more and more. I wish I would have realized what I wanted earlier in life. I reflect on my life decisions a lot at 17 years old, and I honestly wish I would have gotten out of this system earlier in my life. Though it’s not too late, I’m too close to give up. If I would have known earlier in life I would have worked young, saved up my money, travelled to different places, would have grown my own food, and spent more time focusing on my self happiness and family relationships. You learn from educating yourself; meeting different people, creating art, reading books, and exploring this beautiful world we live in. We are young, we should not be tied down but instead channelling our energy into happiness. Stressing over a pile of homework each night or how you will pay off college is unnecessary and waking up to an alarm clock every morning is painful. Don’t ever let your parents or anyone influence you, going to school or not you shouldn’t be limited to opportunities. Attending a college university or not, you are amazing. Financially stable or barely making it…riches are found in life, riches are found in the way you make people smile and how you choose to spend your life. Just a perspective… Hope others feel this way too.
